Common Questions

Things worth asking.

If you don't see your question, message the studio — a real installer answers, not a chatbot.

Under Ontario's Highway Traffic Act, the windshield and front side windows must allow substantial visible light through — generally read by enforcement as >70% VLT on the front sides, and only a small visor strip on the windshield. Rear and rear-side windows have no VLT limit on most passenger vehicles. We'll always walk you through what's compliant for your specific build before we cut anything.

A standard sedan install runs 3–4 hours in our bay. SUVs and trucks 4–5 hours. Full PPF body wraps run 1–3 days depending on coverage. We give you a fixed time slot — not a "drop it for the day" answer.

Wait at least 72 hours after install. The film needs that window to fully bond and for any moisture haze to clear. In Toronto winters, give it 5–7 days. We'll send you a written aftercare card before you leave.

Properly installed ceramic and dyed films do not damage rear-window defroster lines, factory antennas, or heads-up displays. Metallic films can interfere with GPS, radio, cellular and toll transponders — which is why our default ceramic tier is non-metallic. We'll flag any film/vehicle combo that has a known interaction.

Yes — we tint a high volume of Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Polestar, Lucid and Rivian vehicles. EVs especially benefit from IR-rejecting ceramic film: every degree of cabin heat the film blocks is climate load your battery doesn't have to carry. We carry pre-cut patterns for nearly every modern EV.

For ceramic and Crystalline tiers: lifetime against bubbling, peeling, cracking, demetallizing, adhesive failure, and colour change. The warranty is registered with the manufacturer in your name and is transferable to a new owner — which adds resale value. We'll re-tint or replace at no charge for the life of the vehicle.

No — and intentionally. Tint demands a controlled, dust-free environment to look clean five years out. Driveway installs are how you get fibres trapped under film. We'll get you in and out of our studio efficiently instead.

After the cure period (72 hours minimum), use any ammonia-free glass cleaner with a clean microfibre cloth. Avoid paper towels, abrasive sponges, and any cleaner with ammonia (most "blue" cleaners). We include a free aftercare bottle with every install.

No — old film must always be removed first. Layering film traps adhesive and causes immediate bubbling. We charge a per-window removal fee that's discounted when bundled with a new install.

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, debit, e-transfer, and cash. A 25% deposit secures your booking; the balance is due at pickup. Fleet and commercial accounts have net-15 terms available.

For Tier 03 (Crystalline) bookings and any full-day PPF wraps, we offer a complimentary loaner vehicle (subject to availability). For shorter installs, we have a comfortable lounge with espresso, fast Wi-Fi, and a clear view into the install bay.

Always. Walk in any time during business hours and we'll hold film samples up to your glass under both indoor and natural light. VLT looks dramatically different on a sample card vs. on your actual factory privacy glass. We never want you guessing.
